What
is Bluetooth technology?
Bluetooth is a wireless technology that enables any electrical device to wirelessly
communicate in the 2.5 GHz ISM (license free) frequency band. It allows mobile
phones, headsets, PDA's and portable computers to communicate and send data
to each other without the need for wires or cables to link to devices together.
It has been specifically designed as a low cost, low power, radio technology.
Bluetooth allows all enabled phones to share a common hands free car kit
Why is Bluetooth technology so exciting?
Simple,
you can use your phone in the car, totally hands free even if it is in your
pocket, on the back seat or buried in a bag that is in the boot. Bluetooth ensures
you stay within the law and prevents you getting fined £60 and three endorsement
points.
Bluetooth Benefits
Let us show an example, say Mr Smith has a Nokia 7250 mobile phone, he has also a hands free car kit fitted which in this case could be the Nokia CK - 7W. This kit is fitted with a compatible cradle and antenna coupler to allow total hands free use and of course keeps him inside of the latest legislation relating to driving whilst using a mobile phone. Now, at the weekend Mrs Smith uses his car, but she owns a Motorola V600 mobile phone. This phone will not fit into her husbands car phone cradle. So she simply enables her phone via bluetooth contectivity to pair her Motorola phone and his Nokia car kit. She then unplugs the connector to the car kit. Her phone can even be in her handbag in the boot, but upon an incoming call she can use the Nokia car kit to accept the call and continue talking in a legal hands free manner via the in car microphone and the incoming voice will be routed via the front speakers of the car. The only difference are as follows, Mrs Smith`s phone will not charge in the car and she will be relying on the phones antenna - not the car antenna. Please call us for compatability on 0870 8408406.
